Name:
Desmond Mercer (only allows his Emily or Adain to call him Des or Desy.)
Age:
Late twenties, early thirties.
Hair:
His hair is short and brown, almost black. Although no one can really see it since it is always under his hood. But it is supposedly pretty messy because it spends it's time under his hood.
eyes:
The same as his sisters; a haunting silver-blue color which cuts through all who see them.
Height:
5 foot 8 inches (although he makes up for his shortness through his attitude)
Clothes:
Desmond doesn't really care about his outfit. Or rather the virus which pulses through his veins doesn't care. Either way he wears a heavy leather jacket on top of a grey sweatshirt whose hood sticks out over his leather jacket. A white dress shirt lays fully buttoned underneath that grey sweat shirt, keeping his body somewhat humid underneath all of those layers; not that he seems too bothered by it. Worn ashen color jeans complete this man's outfit along with a pair of once nice dress shoes that find themselves covered in the sludges found in the city of Rapture.
Behavior:
Desmond is less then social. He has a short temper and is very protective over his younger sister. Many people are a little put off by his attitude but he tends to lighten up around his sister and his friends. Although he has encountered a lot of betrayals, he reluctantly learns to trust those he's exposed to long enough. Emily is the only one who has yet to hurt him on a personal level which is why he feels so connected to her; she is the only one who he knows he can trust although. However, he has found himself become attached to Adain during his adventures through Rapture.
History/time period:
Desmond used to be a scientist for a drug company until he discovered something horrible. In one swift accident Desmond changed his own life along with the thousands of people populating New York. He let loose a virus which turned people into flesh craving monsters while he himself underwent changes. He lost his memory and discovered that he had to live by also consuming humans. His body could... adapt to whatever he was in need of whether it be protection to a weapon that could cleave through enemies. His legs became stronger to allow him to run up the sides of buildings or run as fast as the speeding cars which drove through the city. The virus within him protected him from the military which hunted him throughout the city.
He eventually found out he had a sister by the name of Emily Mercer. Memory-less and helpless, he went to her for help, hoping for an explanation as of why he was the way he was. Through her help and investigations on his past he started to form a bond with her. The two siblings got along and he started to protect her from the military along with the monsters which roamed the city.
That was until a pair of assassins showed up at her apartment... He got there just in time to see them disappearing into a circle of light which he now recognizes as the ring of light Fontaine's time machine creates when it is activated.
So he found himself in the beat up city of Rapture, separated from his sister in this unknown land.
The adventure was long. He was very displeased when he saw that his sister had grown attached to one of the assassins which kidnapped her. But the more time and the more danger he faced with the two assassins, the more they grew on him.
He still blames himself for not being able to reach Emily's lover in time... Had he only run a little faster. But he was too late and now he hunts down Fontaine along with his sister.
